Water Bear Bar

Located on the corner of the historic Jefferson Building on 9th and Jefferson in downtown Boise, Water Bear Bar desired to create an atmosphere of escaping to a tropical vacation through an eclectic mountain tiki vibe, plush seating, low lighting, and vibrant wallpaper.

The objective was to provide a comfortable and intimate experience that encourages patrons to linger and indulge in multiple craft cocktails, eat fresh oysters, and enjoy good music.  The design includes acoustical treatment, lighting design and selections, window treatment, finish selections, furniture and accessory selections.

205 Shoshone Street​

The renovation and re-imagining of the Historic Elks Lodge in Twin Falls, Idaho. The building has gone through countless interventions, some of which have severely altered the original character of this historic building.

The goal of this project was to return this building to its original character and to breathe new life into its spaces.

 

The project is now home to a brewery and restaurant, and a new corner commercial space to help energize the downtown core.  The Brewery opens onto a new patio and sub-grade event space.  The upper floor will be remodeled for a new modern build to suit office space with a light filled central lobby.

Front Street Garage

Currently under construction this parking structure will serve the growing demand for downtown parking and potential future retail or commercial building wrap users. The parking levels will be screened utilizing a grid of directional colored fins. This treatment provides a positive visual barrier and provides visual interest to pedestrians and the traveling public. The profile of the screening fins and movement from the ground provide an ever-changing visual affect to onlookers.

PreFunk​

Located on Front and 11th in Downtown Boise, PreFunk desired to expand on an already tight urban site to respond to customer demand. The solution; add a rooftop patio and upper tap room.

This study includes rooftop serving bar contained within a re-purposed shipping container, a new rooftop patio with fabric shade structure and access stairs.

George's Cycles​

This 24,000 square foot adaptive reuse project is located in Boise's Central Addition District at the corner of 3rd and Front Street. George's Cycles was established in Boise in 1971 and has become one of most recognized bike retailers throughout the state.

 

The design objective is to revitalize the existing 1949 and 1970 concrete block warehouses into a modern-day retail store while retaining some of the time-worn warehouse feel.  Improvements also include sustainable design elements as well as extensive site improvements.

11th & Grove

 

A state liquor store turned up and coming Architect's office. Pivot North, seeing an opportunity to occupy ground level storefront on the edge of downtown Boise, leased this 3,000 SF former liquor store transforming it into the company's first official office. The design includes open work areas with custom designed hand constructed desks, visitor coffee bar and lounge area, a locker room with bike storage, and glass walled conference rooms.

 

Art from local artist Matt Grover and cardboard taxidermy provide whimsy and interest. Interior finishes and furniture reinforce the company's brand.
