Decisions are always made with the client’s needs, timeline and budget in mind. Collaborating, mentoring, learning, listening, and laughing are all a part of her daily life. In the end, though, it is the delicate balance between art and science, left and right brain functions, team comradery, and color that drew her to interior design in the first place, and keep her happily occupied.

Amelia Marek

Amelia grew up in the little town of Grangeville in north-central Idaho but hasn’t let small town roots tie her down. At 29 she’s lived in three different countries, but just recently found her home back in Idaho.

After studying abroad in Rome, she graduated from the University of Idaho and got her first job at a multi-national firm in Beijing. Since then, she graduated with her master’s degree from the Staedelschule Architecture Class in Frankfurt, Germany where she had the opportunity to work with world-acclaimed architects and present her accomplishments at the Venice Architecture Biannual.

Now that Amelia is back in the PNW, you can spot her going about her old habits, whether it be skiing, mountain biking or whitewater rafting. But don’t get her confused with her identical twin sister who’s also a fixture in the Boise architecture community!

Mae Myers

After a childhood spent in parts of rural Kansas and Minnesota, Mae chose Kansas State University to receive her degree in Interior Architecture. After graduating, she made Kansas City her home for 16 years while practicing commercial interior design.  With a strong background in architecture and interior design, the marriage of the two, and all the details in between, is what drives her to continue practicing design.  Her love of color and all things textile, lend themselves to a passion for furniture and making spaces that feel good to all people, especially children in school settings!  As a very recent transplant to Boise, she looks forward to all the area has to offer.

When Mae is not working at her computer or selecting finishes for a project, you might find her doing a variety of things.  In addition to her own 2 rescue cats and dog, she fosters and volunteers for animal shelters and rescues. Quilting allows her to fulfill her obsession with textiles and patterns.  Staying active in the outdoors by running, biking, skiing and hiking are activities she can’t wait to try in Treasure Valley instead of the plains of the Midwest!

Fred the Moose
Chairman of the Board

Also a native of Alaska, Fred brings years of natural experience and wild perspective to Pivot North's culture. While Fred enjoyed sauntering through forests and munching on trees, he opted for a more relaxed life of hanging out in Pivot North’s lounge. Although generally a sedentary fellow, he is not immune to a moose’s nature and occasionally will bounce off the wall. His go with the flow yet slightly unpredictable personality make him the perfect candidate as the office's official party animal.
